Searchable XML datastores provide database functionality without the expense of a traditional database. XML technology provides a standard method of datastore management which separates data and interface, creating an economical high-performance client.
CBDScan is less hardware-intensive and, therefore, less expensive. The image datastores reside on a dedicated server to which CBDScan workstations save documents. Retrieval can occur from any network workstation, even remote sites.
